1.0 out of 5 stars Good for 3-4 months then leaks like a sieve!!!, March 4, 2012
This review is from: Evenflo TruVent 3 Pack Angled Bottle, 9 Ounce (Baby Product)
We purchased these bottles for our newborn baby 8 months ago and after about 3-4 months the bottles (eventually all three) started leaking from the ring that goes in behind the nipple. We contacted Evenflo and asked for a refund so we could by a product that works. Evenflo refused our request but eventually sent us new bottles. We chalked it up to a defect in the manufacturing process and started using the new bottles - then after 3-4 months the bottles started leaking again! We're not wasting our time with another customer service rep or with trying to get our money back - this is just a bad product with a company that doesn't care about their customers or their reputation.

Not worth the time or money!

2.0 out of 5 stars Nipples don't last very long, February 14, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
Our new baby (6 weeks old) likes these bottles. We've tried several different kinds (including Gerber and Ventaire) and she seems to like these best. Here's what I like and don't like about these:

PROS:

- Easier to assemble than the Ventaire, less of a hassle to clean due to fewer parts.

- The nipples are blue so you can't confuse the nipple with those from other bottles you may have.

- Faster flow, so baby eats quicker (helpful at night but there's also a downside to this).

- The markings on the bottle, which let you check how much formula is left without stopping the feed, are very helpful.

CONS:

- I did a lot of research on other websites before I bought these (only one other review here on Amazon) and a lot of people said these leak. They can leak, but I've noticed it's mostly "user error" - in other words, they will leak when I'm in a hurry and don't put them together well.

- These get washed... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars AWFUL BOTTLES!, June 20, 2012
This review is from: Evenflo TruVent 3 Pack Angled Bottle, 9 Ounce (Baby Product)
These are one of the few bottles our daughter would drink from after breast feeding for 6 months. I bought a lot of different ones but she couldn't figure out where to place her tongue. I bought these and she did a little better, however, the breast flow by the first year was her favorite. After about a couple weeks of use with warming up her bottles in a nice bottle warmer these would crack. Thought it was a fluke thing but after about four I was tired of dealing with wasting my breastmilk. Not only did they crack with the bottle warmer but even under warm water from the sink.

5.0 out of 5 stars our favorite so far, April 20, 2009
By
Dawn (Lincoln, NE United States) - See all my reviews
My son is 3 months old and has been formula fed since birth, so we have tried many bottles and nipples. Thankfully, he is not picky and seems to adjust to all of the different samples. I like these bottles best because they have the angled neck, which helps baby get less air, but they do not have all of the ridiculous extra parts of the Playtex ones (which also leaked incidentally).

We have only used latex nipples, and I like these the best because they are very durable. Sometimes my little guy gets so hungry and anxious that his sucking can collapse a nipple, but we have never once had that problem with these Evenflo nipples. (However, the Evenflo glass nursers didn't have these great nipples.)

I swore I would never use anything but glass bottles (for environmental reasons), but now I don't think we will use anything but the Evenflo Purely Comfi bottles!

Try these bottles for 3 simple reasons: (1) They aren't expensive. (2) The angled neck is... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Measurements accurate, October 29, 2011
This review is from: Evenflo BPA Free Purely Comfi 6 oz Bottle, 3-Pack (Baby Product)
The bottles I recieved have very accurate water measurements. I used my digital scale and each ounce of water is exactly 30 grams as it should be. Not sure if something changed or other folks were mis-measuring their water. It is something you want to be careful of as the concentration of formula is important to baby's health.

I will, however, agree that it can be a pain in the rear to get the formula in the top of these. It's not annoying enough to make me switch bottles, though.

I've been using these for about a month now. I used the old ones (with BPA) for my daughter 4 years ago and had great luck with them. We're having good luck this time around as well. There's a lot of trial an error with baby bottles, but I also think that you really just have to pick one and stick to it because baby so quickly becomes used to one kind that if you switch it starts the problems all over again. These nipples have a really slow flow to begin with and get just a tiny bit... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Measurements wrong, July 18, 2011
This review is from: Evenflo BPA Free Purely Comfi 6 oz Bottle, 3-Pack (Baby Product)
I like the size and shape of these bottles (we use the 6 oz size), and they have never leaked for us, but I just discovered that the 6 oz bottle is not actually 6 oz, it's only about 5 1/2. Pretty unacceptable for Evenflo to get the measurements wrong. We have had several break as well.
